The Legacy of the Zealots

The Legacy of the Zealots

(update to final version: 2005)

Before the beginning of the human concept of time there existed a great and powerful Cherub, a class of angels that were second only to the Seraphim in the nine hierarchies or choirs of angels.  We do not know his name, only his title.  He was known as a Zealot, wise one and master of the sword.  His true identity was not revealed and is unknown to this day.  He was the Elder of an order of Cherubim called the knights of Heaven, the Holy Swordsmen, who all wore pieces of the armor that God had created for the Archangel Michael, and for the mightiest of his angels in battle.  Order was maintained for a millennium until the unthinkable happened.  A conspiracy began.  At the heart of this conspiracy was Lucifer, angel of light.  His eyes were fixed with a spirit of jealousy and discontent.  His child-like mind spread a gospel of treacherous lies, infecting the heavenly host like a plague.  Growing within him was a new agent, a tiny thing like a seed which had not been planted and no one understood but the Father.  Lucifer had been created without even the slightest flaw.  In ways unknown, the psychological virus took his confidence, his only weakness, and twisted it into pride.

Lucifer became the first to be infected.  His clouded and paralyzed mind thought only of the throne.  The infection caused him to believe that God was more tyrant than father and the “house rules” were unfair.  The rebellious teenager wanted to make his own rules.  He idolized his Father, not for who he was, but what he had.  His lust salivated over his Father's position, power, and authority.  Lucifer's obsession with the crown festered deep within his soul until he believed he was also worthy of such worship.  When he said, "I will be like the most high," that was when sin made Lucifer its host.  Lucifer, now the host of sin and overcome by his own selfish desire, became the dragon we now know as Satan.

It wasn't a physical change.  Satan's horns and tail were only an image of his psyche, external signs of the monster within.  This was the final stage of sin before the subject died.  Sin's mutative properties act on a psychological level.  Satan's character was rapidly deteriorating.  The angel of light was twisted into the prince of darkness.  This was something that no outside force could have done.  There was instead, an inward battle that had been waged.  Lucifer had no knowledge of this internal struggle and had no will to oppose the darkness and thus he lost.  It was because his love for the Father failed that Lucifer lost and the disease continues to spread even now.  Even now sin flourishes where love fails. The osmosis of sin created the demon within the terminal soul. It was the monster within that consumed Lucifer.  With "Lucifer" out of the way, Satan campaigned to rally his brothers against God, their Father.

It is said that God commanded the angels to worship Adam (the name of humanity) and Lucifer refused, instead becoming man's prosecutor, making the case that man is unworthy. So Satan sought out to prove man's unworthiness by means of temptation. He made man his guinea pig, working psychological experiments to see what would make them bend and what would make them break. While ignoring the problem within himself his work became very personal and he hated man. They lived in sin, a condition which sickened him. Furthermore, God seemed to have little desire to cleanse the Earth of the infestation Satan helped bring forth. But God knew that there was something else. Were it not for the Satan's manipulation of man's ignorance and curiosity, mankind would not have sinned. Still, they were the criminals. At this point Satan had done nothing but be the voice of dissent, the knowledge of evil itself. God also knew that Satan was giving voice to something inside him; something dark and ugly, corrupting him and corrupting others through him. Just like his holy spirit worked within the spirits of his creations pulling them towards good by exposure to his character, that thing within Satan was working and pulling life down a downwards spiral towards evil by exposure to everything that God was not. Even humans started to see and draw the many faces of this monster, evil. They weren't painting the dark horned figure of a person, but the internal beastly image of this concept they learned from Satan. Satan didn't realize that he himself was the creator of the evil he inspired in man. His conscious mind thought to do good by exposing and ridding creation of evil but this was just a rationalization to his subconscious will to destroy the man that God had told him to worship. By trying to expose evil he exposed himself and the seed planted deep inside him that was beginning to bear fruit.

Satan, tempted by power, crafted a new prosecutorial argument. An accusation was made.  God himself was put on trial.  Satan's charm and cunning had convinced a third of his brothers that they were slaves of their Father; that they had no freedom to make their own decisions, save to serve the one who created them.   “ And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.” - Revelation 12:3. According to Satan's propaganda serving the Father wasn't their true destiny.  Lucifer had been the wisest of all the other angels and when it came time to deceive them their minds were manipulated with as much skill and craftiness as when they were created. They were done by truth and undone by a lie.  He gathered together the kingdoms and armies of men under his control and brought down many angels on his side and set aim on the church of God who was preparing to give birth to the savior God had promised Eve. God showed Satan a man that he could not corrupt and gave him forty days and forty nights all alone with the man in order to try him. Satan used his own temptation of power against the man but to no avail. The man was perfectly happy being the loving son of the Father. And thus Satan's argument against the species of man was broken by the man called Yeshua (meaning Yah's salvation).

In their frenzy none of his angels stopped to realize that the very act of rebellion was proof of their free will.  If they were able to rebel then that decision in itself was a sign that they were only slaves in their minds and it was not the Father who held those chains, but the author of the lie that influenced them to rebel.  Satan didn't just want to be like God, he wanted the most comical promotion ever imagined.  Satan knew that the Father would never allow him to take his place so he decided then that he would have to commit patricide in order to fulfill his dream.  In his selfish desire to be God he did not realize that God was more than just his creator and that he ruled out of love and not superiority.  That's why he didn't simply destroy what caused him pain. Satan didn't have enough love to be their father; only enough for himself. Unlike Satan, God was not corrupted by his own power and so in the nature of the Father love was worth more than everything Satan saw as obtainable. Satan was blinded by what he wanted and what he thought an omnipotent god should be.  His definition of strength and power and god were born of jealousy and spite and he used the state of man to his political advantage.  His belief in himself fueled his hatred and evil grew in his heart to fill the void lost when he stopped loving his Father.  In the universal principle of balance nothing is ever lost, the line between forces simply shifts between two extremes. Satan's line was shifting towards darkness and it was an earthquake that shook the foundations of the holy city.

A fault line ripped a tear straight down the fabric of heaven.  Of those angels deceived by Lucifer were many of those of the order of the Holy Swordsmen.  Being so powerful, their strength became their weakness.  Believing that the weak should bow to the strong, they wanted to build a world where power was all that was respected.  Those with more power would rule and those with less would serve.  Only by hard work and gaining power within one's self did they ever have the right to rule as gods. There was something else that Satan said which had them drooling at the idea.  God was a being of untold incarnate energy.  If he was consumed by them that energy would not be lost (according to the laws of physics).  His power would simply change hands.   Satan's fire began to burn as his lust for power ever increased. His heart became like space, just a cold vacuum.

The word “god” in biblical history was not uncommon. A being who had greater power than one below and exercised power over them was the definitive concept of a god. But to those who knew true power knew that there was one above all who could shoulder this title alone because he is above all. The prospect of becoming true gods and controlling and wielding the power of God was compelling.  To many it meant the power to create whatever they wished.  The world in which they lived was the world God wanted.  His will crafted their very being.  With his power they could rewrite their own existence.  They could carve out a new reality from their dreams and of their own wills and make God's power their genie …but to steal universal power was folly.

Even so, with wings of radiant energies and each wearing his part of the same armor that Michael himself wore, believing their cause to be just, those now unholy swordsmen, those dark knights, prepared to lay waste the very throne of God.  Their unrivaled battle skills were to become the instrument of victory though none enjoyed the idea of using their power against the one who had given it.  It was merely a means to an end for the needy greedy.

Among the knights who remained loyal there was the first; their master and the one who hand picked them from the angelic elite.  They were not considered to be God's body guards since God himself had no need for such protection.  For the truth which their Father had never revealed to them was that he could not be destroyed.  God and his power were one.  Like energy he could change forms but never be extinguished or used up.  The philosophical vision of the slumbering God was a fantasy based on our own limitations as physical beings. The Holy Swordsmen were instead given the job of preparation for a battle with no name.  They were to fight a foe with no face.  God would not tell them how or where or when.  He just said be ready and he seemed to fear that thing which they were to fight against.  Fear was a thing that only the Father knew.

To them, if their Dad was afraid then he was in fear of something which could destroy him.  To them it was a weakness.  However, God's fear was never for himself.  He feared for their sake and for the sake of the rest of his children.  He would never tell them because he did not want them to live in fear.  He only wanted them to be happy and to love him as he loved them.

Then what seemed to be a cruel joke of fate, unfolded into a bloody gut-wrenching reality.  It happened.  "There was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels," - Revelation 12:7

When the war started, the Zealot, master of the Holy Swordsmen, was so confused by his emotions that he refused to fight.  These “demons” were his own brothers and he saw those of the order of the Zealots as not only his students, but as his sons. Though he pitied them how could he forgive them for going against God?  Perhaps their master hadn't fallen because he had a better understanding of God.  They were alike in the sense that they were both like fathers.  Most of the other angels had never experienced parenthood.  Before becoming guardians to humans they had never known how it felt to watch someone in their care grow and become better than they were the day before.  They had never known the joy of having pride in someone other than themselves.  Experiencing fatherhood taught the child the ways and motives of the father like nothing else could. Although they were very old by human standards they were as children.  As children their view of their Father was shaped by what he gave them.  In their own way they all fought for his love and attention.  Even their rebellion was their own attempt to grow up and become their small perception of their Father. However, they could not see with his eyes.

The Zealot's students had always looked to him as their guide, but when Lucifer challenged their “faith” (trust) in their Father they saw his magnificence and power and they craved it.  This is the same faith the Father desires from us, restored and renewed. Lucifer was highly favored by their Father and so he was respected high above their own master.  The Zealot had no desire to fight them but he knew his duty.  This was that which his Father had feared.  It had been his job from the beginning to war against it; the perversion of the spirit that clouds free will in darkness.  To fight it was the will of God and he'd die before failing the Most High God, better known as the Father.

The war continued. The dark knights were more than a match for most angels who knew nothing of war.  Left unchecked they would slaughter their brothers and stain the very gates of heaven.  This could not be allowed.  The master suddenly felt used.  His own training would be to blame for whatever damage they had wrought.  He was also responsible for their discipline.  As their first kill became their tenth they began feeling their own twisted version of power and might. It became a hunger for more power; more consumption. He felt that blame like a million tiny cuts on his soul.  He flew into a burning star in an attempt to cool down but his hurt and pain took a U-turn into rage.  He'd always taught his students that mental control was essential to controlling their body and energy during a fight, but the unrestrained power he now radiated caused the star to go super nova. His anger ignited in a ball of fury that sent him spiraling back into the battle.  He was burning inside. He would show his sons the error of their ways even if it meant their destruction.  The fire of his wrath went unquenched until the battle's end.

A great many angels had fallen.  Lucifer had become Satan and foolishly attacked his creator and…. "Prevailed not; neither was their place found anymore in heaven." - Revelation 12:8

The knight's master searched the battlefield of space for the ruined bodies of his students.  He was the last now; the only one who survived and who still remained loyal to God.  There were two dark knights missing from the destruction.  Out of the order of seventy knights, only three remained while countless others were lost.

"The great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." - Revelation 12:9.

Those angels that retreated because of their injuries and dwindling number of able combatants were cast down to the Earth at light speed.  They were exiled there until they were allowed to see why they were being punished and what the shadow of evil would do if it were allowed to spread.  There, they separated into smaller clans, each still loyal to Satan but only out of circumstance.  They were all thrown into the same situation and though they despised themselves and each other they were stuck together.  They had become the bastard children of a Father who wanted to be with them but had lost them to their own iniquities.  Now they would be locked away inside a prison shared with beings who could not see them for they were flesh and blood. It was not an easy thing to exile his beloved sons.  The loneliness they found amongst themselves echoed the loneliness of their Father.  God had been the proud father of too many sons to count and even one that was lost was one too many.  Even though they were demons they were still and are still loved by their Father.   No one is beyond love but one who does not return love makes love incomplete. What could the Father do?  They had replaced his love with hate.  They had run away from home into the arms of another father.  God's only fear had come true.

Those of them that were once of the Holy Swordsmen formed an elite clan and began training for the rematch that would ultimately occur in which they would take back what they had lost.  What they had lost most was their Father but they were so angry at him they could see only the loss of their home and all of its splendid treasures.  They had been sheltered for so long that they did not realize what heaven was.  Now these beings who had only known perfect love and happiness began to experience the extreme opposite of every emotion they once had.  They began to hate themselves.  They began to curse their own suicidal existence and even the one who had created them.  Their Father was all powerful and yet he would not fix this for them.  They had to bear the weight of their own decision.  They did not know they were infected by a disease.  They thought that whatever they wanted to do was natural.  They were created perfect so they embraced their dark side as a part of that perfection.  If any one was blameworthy, they thought it must be their Father for they were products of him.  They didn't realize that they had caught something contagious.  It was a disease that would have infected the entire universe had it not been contained on a small planet called Earth.  Worlds of God's creations would have suffered and bled.  Planets would have disappeared as their populations destroyed each other.

The Father cried and there was no joy in heaven because God could not simply grow a scab over this wound on his heart.  This was heaven's worst case scenario.  God knew what must be done.  He who lived outside of time knew sin before it came into being and he knew of its potential to destroy his creations.  It was a counteracting balance to the good that he, himself, represented and passed on to his creations.  He could not simply destroy Lucifer.  If sin could have infected him who was created without flaw it would have simply come back.  It might not have been resurrected for a time, but once it was known it could never be unknown, always present, lurking in the shadows of the mind and ready to consume another unsuspecting host.  Satan was only a physical manifestation of sin; a Halloween skin that it wore to blend in.  It could not be destroyed by simply destroying the host.  Instead, God knew he had to show the entire universe an “experiment".  Why does God allow sin?  Because he had to show not just humans, but all life in the universe what happens when sin is loose.  They had to see the evidence of the infection, lives spent addicted to lustful temptations, and war.  It was a “just say no” after-school special put on for the entire universe to watch.

“Behold Earth, the breeding ground of sin,” said the spirit of God.  “Look at what you have and compare it to how they fight over dirt and rocks.  Behold those who are free to do whatever they will with no limitations and no immediate consequences.  Why do they choose evil?  See also my children who are in the midst of the night; they who love me and understand that my rules are there to save them from themselves.  They are diseased, as is my son Lucifer, and yet they struggle to serve me just as you did before; not because they aren't free but because they are free.

Not only see them but see me, and how much I love them.  I would give my own life to free you all of sin.  There are no slaves to me on Earth.  They do as they please, but there are slaves to sin on Earth and my will is to set them free.”

Mankind would have flourished under God's love.  But sin divided the human race and set out to populate hell instead of heaven in a struggle to topple the balance of power.  Was their ex-father fair?  The universe would watch as these accusations were heard.  God's defense?  Human beings would prove that he was fair in front of the whole universe if only they, given the choice, would choose to love him and keep his law, proving the theorem that evil is unnecessary and unnatural; unnatural because where love creates evil destroys.  If he was found guilty, he faced losing the love and support of the universe. God saw them trying to overcome the infestation and said, “For them will I send a cure.”

It was before the war that the Zealot's tale begins. "It came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.  The Lord said, ‘My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years'.  There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown." - Genesis 6:1-4.

Those were the nephalym, half human and half angel.  Later on in earth's history, stories of this occurrence appeared in mythological tales such as Hercules and Perseus.  The first Zealot was among those who took a human wife.  His human wife brought joy to his life and they had a son.  Vowing never to fight again, he decided to pass down his sword, renamed the sword of tears, to his first son.

His wife bore him that son in the spring while one of his students watched from afar.  He had already been taken with Satan's idea of power and that all the desires of their heart were natural things that they shouldn't be afraid to experience because it was a part of life and their perfection. He also saw the unworthiness of man as the latter creation to be worshipped.  But here, before his very eyes, was an exotic flower. Although mentally stronger she was physically weaker and unlike mortal man, it was her position to be more submissive. He saw the smoothness of her skin, the beauty of her form and it was like sweet perfume; attracting him like a moth to a flame. Many nights he watched her bathe and love his master. She became his forbidden fruit and he soon became overcome with jealousy.  He could see that she would reject all others beside his master and so he became set against them both. Their crime was being happy; something which he could never again be, nor ever forgive.

On a night when the summer heat warmed her and the flowers still bloomed, this student of the Cherub fell to his temptation. Seeing his master was away he went in unto his wife disguised as her husband.  He slept with her and in the frosty months of winter she bore another son.  They had no knowledge of what had happened and without reason for suspicion the Zealot and his human wife raised both sons as their own.  She died in her sleep soon after though still in her youth.  When the boys were of age, one of them disappeared.  The demon, who raped his master's wife, appeared to him, told him what he had done and that he later murdered his wife and took back the son he had given her.

It was strange. The rush he felt over finally acting on his desires didn't die down. He was experiencing something he had never known before. Was this pleasure over committing a sin? The feelings of grief and remorse he expected never came. He didn't feel sorry at all and so he felt almost justified in what he had done. He still wanted her even though he knew she was dead and that he had to kill her because he wasn't the one she wanted and he would not be able to bear seeing her with any other. When Satan discovered this he went to the throne of God and argued how the humans were corrupting the natural minds of the angels. He immediately disowned the Cherub's wicked student and preached about how dangerous the man animals were. Many angels agreed and he won their favor. Our adversary, Satan, began tempting and accusing other angels, creating a leperous fellowship of outcast angels who fled outside the light of heaven.

Over time, however, his enemy became God who ruled against all evil; even the evil within himself. After they were cast out he found himself among those he had before accused. The student, more than anything, wanted his old master to finish the fight they had started in heaven.  However, this demon wanted something else.  He had learned a lesson during the aftermath of the battle.  His strength was not enough.  All those who had fought God had severely underestimated the forceful power He had.  They had never known his wrath nor seen him so much as raise his hand to them.  All of a sudden they had been struck down by His immeasurable power, but not destroyed.  This demon realized that it would be better for him to die fighting than live out his existence in this abyss of darkness and loss.  Other demons were more optimistic.  Some still thought that there was a limit to God's power and that he could be overcome.   They were, after all, parts of God that God had separated from his own being, dividing his own energy as he divided the waters during creation. This demon who had attained a power far greater than most had felt a power that made his own seem insignificant and he wasn't as ignorant.  God let them believe they had so much power, but there was so much more; so much above what they had that even if all of creation were to combine its power against God it wouldn't even leave a scratch. Knowing battle strategy it dawned on the wiser demons that an omniscient God who existed beyond the dimension of time would never put into his enemies hand the very tool of his own destruction. To believe otherwise was to be a fool.

Furthermore, God was the programmer of the universe and of everything in existence.  He taught matter how to come together to form atoms and cells and how those cells should work to sustain living organisms.  Within God's power was the key to controlling matter.  Physical matter is but a song; a reverberation of energy. Spirits are matter in reverse, or anti-matter. He could have simply changed the demons subatomic structure to that of stone just as Lot's wife was turned to salt.  Fighting someone who could do that was nothing more than a display of simplicity, but most of them didn't learn this soon enough.  He even manifested his powers on the behalf of men so his sons could see and recognize. They certainly didn't understand that they were allowed to live, not because they were tough, but because they were never truly God's target.  From the beginning his target was that which broke up his family.  His enemy was the very notion of evil.  After the true enemy was revealed the loyal angels began to really understand what it was that they were defending heaven against and it brought them even closer to God's side.  Evil had taken shape and enslaved their brothers.

Now there were two human siblings with different fathers; the progeny of the angelic knights; the next generation.  They were both taught the difference between good and evil, light and darkness, but each son represented the opposite of the other.  They were raised to be the prodigy of their father's image.  Each son was trained to hunt down and destroy his brother.  They were both evenly matched, but never could one do harm to the other he had known and loved all his life.  During the time of the flood, the master Zealot's son and his family vanished without a trace.  Various rumors surround this event.  Some rumor that they were taken to heaven for a year.  Some say they were taken to another planet like earth.  The other son disappeared and was rumored to have spent the 40 days and nights of the flood in an underground cave protected by his real father.  It is also believed that the angels had sent Enoch to bargain with God on behalf of their children and God allowed seven to be spared out of his love for Enoch. No one really knows how they, “The hidden ones”, survived, where they went, or when they returned.

In the dark ages, the master Zealot's son and his family returned to defend their human brethren from a blood thirsty religion.  Due to the inclusion of unrighteousness, the direct influence of their angelic forefather had disappeared.  He only watched from the side lines as the game of life was played by his descendants.  They took up the sword for many reasons, some good and some bad.  The angels had been instructed that mankind had to be given room to be who they would be.  Even if they were threatened by death or deception they had to be allowed to stand on their own two feet.  Only then would they realize on their own how much they needed their Father.  One of the Zealot's descendents took his wife and journeyed from England to China and then Japan where they became famous in the world of martial arts.  They were a family of samurai who faced the evils of the land and the demons that plagued it.  This is how legends were born. Wherever they went it was the same.  Because of their blood they were sought out by the demons and their human allies and slaves, but they could see them and were able to fight back with the sword and the remnants of their angelic spirit energy.  Some of these stories escaped into Eastern mythos. Stranger beliefs based on more mythic stories told that this family fought against the lilim, demon children of Lilith, the mythical first wife of Adam who wanted to take revenge against Adam's children. In long lost Zoroastrian texts (from the ancient Persian religion) the wise God, Ahura Mazda, had given seven ethereal weapons to a family that was fighting against the hordes of demons sent by Angra Mainyu. It also described a journey of one of the family's heroes into what John Milton would later call Pandemonium, the capital of hell, in his poem Paradise Lost. Zoroaster was said to have predicted that after the death of the last of this family would come the great and final conflict. As fear of angels and demons waned in the earth suspicion around the family that descended from angels also subsided. As man started to leave the spiritual realm alone, putting aside the mages and summoners, there was less of a demonic presence to reckon with. Mankind felt a new sense of security, no longer poking into the shadows and waiting for the darkness to reach back. The dark claws of magic turned to science as man sought to understand the world without the help of the gods.

The master had changed his name to one that meant “I have been scared by love” in the angelic tongue. There was an emptiness left in his heart where his students once were and even though he was a war hero, the praise was just another reminder of his pain. And so the family was able to disappear back into obscurity, always staying together and traversing the globe as one house.  Because of their strange secrets and the difference between them and normal humans they made rules that restricted them from going out alone into the world.  As time passed and as they mixed in more and more with normal human DNA, the traces of angelic DNA began to submerge and was only active within a small percentage of the births in their family.  Of those children, the angelic DNA always planted the seed of its full potential in one male child.  Strength was always split among the rest.  Years later the family had two more daughters and a son who became a notorious knight. He fought against the slaughter of the crusades, caused by wicked men claiming to do the work of God.  The sword was passed to him and then to his son.  This is the genealogy of the new Zealots, from the alpha to the omega.  Each passed down the angelic sword that was crafted by the hand of God.  The rest of the armor was spread throughout the Earth.  Each piece had seemed to have lost its power so they were little more than priceless relics.  Its sleeping power was waiting.  It waited for a time and a man who was not a hundred percent human.

The armor of God and the scattered flocks of the great shepherd; darkness shall surround these until the appointed time of God's return to Earth.  Generation after generation, the darkness grew stronger, assimilating Earth into its new dominion.  A new day dawned in the history of mankind.  Powers, which once operated in the secret shade of night, now dwelled in the open light of day.  Time passed. Seasons changed.  Civilization spread like wild fire.  Earth's history reflected the black soul of the devil through persecution, slavery, genocide, sexual perversion, abomination, new age occult practices, and idolatry.  Kings and Queens fell.  Kingdoms were swept away, none of them having an appreciation of how dark their world had become.  In a time when society was most secure, a new threat arose.  Cunning deceptions and conspiracies converged into a new unholy war which few saw.  Over time, numbers grew.  The couple became few.  The few became some.  The some became many.  The many became an army of self-righteous misguided fools who had sided with Lucifer.  In their twisted minds the cause was just.  They believed they were fighting for the freedom of humanity.  Freedom.  This was that age old doctrine of Satan, but no one is ever free from the love of God.

As the earth shed a tear the final struggle had begun.  Hordes of men, swept into an anger induced rampage by the great whore of Revelation, the mistress of Babylon, began the hunt for the ones still hiding in the shadow of the cross.  Salvation in hand and sealed by the angel of the Lord, these followers of God, now mocked, ridiculed, and persecuted as 'Xtians', were led from the mouth of suffering and sin into a place in the wilderness created for them known as The Hand of God.

Satan was already lost to Him.  It's not that God couldn't save them.  They were already dead.  It was their choice to be terminally ill, but for those on Earth, he would be their healer if they would only accept him as the remedy and the antidote to sin.  Since sin was contained on Earth people blamed God for what happened to them.  They say this happened because it was God's will; that this bad situation existed for a higher purpose that went to their benefit far beyond what they could see.  Their perspective was simply too low to the ground, but if they could see their life from a higher place they would understand God's and Satan's influence on the human variable of free will which controlled destiny and fate.  Their future would be decided by which force they were most receptive to.

Lucifer now found the worship which he had sought in heaven among the humans who didn't understand.  They worshiped his image.  They flattered him in their imitations of him.  They gave into sin and their souls withered away into darkness, but they could never make this godfather-like devil proud with their wickedness because he already hated and despised them before they were even born.

They only thought that he liked them and that he was their ally, but he was simply using and amusing them to get back at their real Father.  They were but toys and tools.  They were all infected now, all sinners.  However, some found the same lust for the Dragon that the Dragon had for his Father and they delighted in sin even more than their master.  They didn't care what it was.  It felt good.  How many of them cared that their expected life spans had decreased?  Their malevolence begot physical ills and addictions.

Drugs became a physical manifestation that paralleled sin in almost every aspect.  Everyone knew it was wrong, but it felt good.  Furthermore it came at a cost that was sometimes more than the user could afford.  It had the power to kill the user immediately or slowly.  It lowered the user's quality of life while making them think life was better because of it.  It was addictive.  Users often did things on drugs they wouldn't normally do.  They acted out of character.  They lost their inhibitions and moral sensibilities until their new character was transformed by the demon growing within.

In the latter part of the twenty first century a drug dealer who read the bible started calling his product sin.  It was sin in a needle or sin you smoked.  He thought it poetic justice for sinners, but it was just another name for the same old drugs.  The demand never ran out so the supply never ran dry.  The two were so alike that the drug became sin's metaphor.  They always wondered why they could never stop drugs. The answer was they would need to first cure the disease in the mind that craved it.

For God, the war on drugs was the war on sin.  He could destroy the drug dealers but more would take their place.  By simply destroying the fallen angels he would be proving them right.  That's why he created a human vessel for himself.  He sent a man to die on behalf of the entire world.  He sent a man because only a man could save the Earth.  Only a man could prove that God's laws were able to be kept by all of His sons.  Although they thought he was God or a god himself, the man they called the Messiah was the first man to have a true connection with the holy spirit of God.  Because the man, Yeshua, had no sin there was no barrier between him and God. God helped man gain access to the tree of life and perfection, but all decisions were made by man. Thus proving it was possible for man's free will to choose good over evil.  God's second promise to Eve was fulfilled.  While the first was a promise of death, the second was a promise of life; yea, a better covenant.

God did not force man to take part in the experiment which produced the criminal results we see today.  Man chose to eat the fruit, thereby signing a lifetime contract with the disease called sin.  Man was forewarned of the consequences.  We teach the universe every day how important it is to obey God.  Many people blame God for the suffering that their own decisions have caused.  It's not God's fault people die or that people hurt us.  His remedy is the duplication of his own character in us that would prevent us from hurting each other which is His law.  Those who do the will of God are antibodies of the Messiah which stem the tide of sin and try to correct the problem of sin with Love.  God has shed the blood of his only begotten son to allow them to be free.  They have wanted and waited for their Father's coming but He has not come.  The virus and the antibodies go on growing together, forever engaged in a war for the planet.  How many see the war?  It's 2020 now and the line has been drawn.  For God or against God, you have already chosen.  God has saved everyone that wants to be saved.  The door of Noah's ark has closed once again and now is the time of a different kind of flood.  They didn't listen and now here comes the apocalypse.

These are the times of the present.  Demons are here on Earth and they are real.  In their quest for revenge they seek human blood.  Who will be saved?  The hour of God's coming is at hand.  Demons are summoned, sacrificed to, and worshiped, unlike the false gods and idols they were in the past.  Sin gave birth to past sins reborn as those sinners would no longer even listen to the light.  For them, the difference between good and evil was but a whisper.  They were becoming like their god, Satan.  Those remaining of the Father's antibiotic army, the remnant church were so scattered and had lost so much ground that they were seen as the infidels.  They were the planetary buzz-kill; those who wouldn't go along with the program even when everyone else was trying to accomplish peace.  If they had a god no one knew it by the way they were forced into hiding.  They were crucified with the Messiah and made criminals, leaving behind only a ragged band of Xtians.  Yet while the wicked accumulated to surmount the insurmountable, a strange figure appeared.  A human silhouette appeared against the smoke of the burning ashes of churches and books.  No mortal knew him, but the fame of his family had penetrated the heavens.  He was not a man and he was not an angel.  He was a human-angel half-breed, a holy swordsman, sent by Heaven to protect God's children.  Lo I, an angel of records, recorded his plight as a testimony unto the universe.  This is that which was, which is, and which is yet to come, the chronicles of Zealot X.
